Being a member of the Fountain Pen Network – Philippines group while living in the province has its drawbacks. Foremost is the availability, or lack thereof, of materials. So when news of big sales in the metro abound in the group, I can only stare wistfully at the pictures and wish I was there as well.
Despite the lack of updates here, my overly caffeinated katawang-lupa is actually very much alive and twitching. This is just a very quick update and heads up, as well as a promise to myself that I will resume blogging regularly (or as often as circumstances allow).
This also serves as a reminder to myself that I must walk the talk and be as transparent as I could be, letting unfiltered thoughts gush through my mind to my fingertips and straight to my keyboard. As such, do expect some cuss words every now and then as I am not exactly the nicest person ever (though probably not the worst either as I am not a serial killer or something). Whooo, my morbid thoughts are already starting to manifest! Again, the aim here is to express, not to impress. With that, I’ll leave you with my latest FB status to that effect:
As much as I try to be civil, I tend to not sugarcoat what I’m really trying to say. Bluntness has always been my strongest/weakest point, depending on how you look at it. 🤷
Last week, I had the privilege of being invited to a local bloggers’ event. The invitation came from the lovely Ms. Betchie of Mommy QueenElizabeth, the details of which could be found on the photo above. So I gratefully accepted her invitation.
After that painful fall (pun intended) of my beloved Pilot Metropolitan, I couldn’t bear to just throw it away. Replacing the nib and/section was my only option, since getting the nib repaired would cost more than the pen itself. And as much as I love it to bits, I am not so carefree with my money as to go through with that option.
What the hell kind of an afternoon/early evening was that? It seemed as if I sucked up all the negative vibes and bad luck within a ten-mile radius. And it all started with my beloved fountain pen…
Sometime last week, I saw this post about intermittent fasting (IF) when a friend posted it on our group chat:
⏰Intermittent Fasting isn’t really a diet but more of an eating strategy. By restricting the…
Now, to start off, I recently lost some weight starting when I had braces, and then got sick on and off for about a month last year. From my heaviest weight of ~54 kg, I went down to around 46-47 kg at the lightest. Currently, I’ve gained a little bit and now weigh around 47-48 kg. I plan to stabilize and keep my weight that way.
I lived in books more than I lived anywhere else.
