New Weekly Format

By on March 4, 2018
bullet journal traditional weekly spread

From the start of the year, I have been using an adapted version of the Alastair Method for my weeklies, that is, a weekly running log. I find it efficient and space-saving, perfect for someone like me who doesn’t really have a lot of things going on that need to be logged. I can’t sing enough praises to the people who thought this up.

So why am I changing format now if it works so well for me?

2018 Bullet Journal

By on January 12, 2018

Happy New Year! 🙂

So. Before anything, a little recap of my first bullet journals (work and personal, as pictured below). 2017 has been more productive than it would have been otherwise without the help of my BuJo. I usually multi-task (even with my thought processes, so yes, I tend to overthink as well) so I tend to have a pretty short attention span and sometimes forget things. Having tasks and such written down, I could see what I have to do and therefore be able to do more.

Fuzzy Logic Mood Tracker

By on December 1, 2017

I have not posted here for the longest time about bullet journaling, despite the fact that I still am doing that up to now. Amazing, really. I have never really stuck with any sort of planner for this long–almost the whole year now, just whoa! I guess I can finally say I’ve found planner peace?

Anyway, the thing is I’m happily planning to continue with this system until the next year (which is just a few short weeks away!). And, to level up a bit, I will no longer be using a pre-printed planner, but a nice new dotted notebook from Victoria’s Journals! Excited person that I am, I have already started doing some of the pages. One such page I just finished and would like to share is this Fuzzy Logic Mood Tracker:

Mediocrity

By on May 29, 2017
mediocrity

Was reading old written works of mine and I can’t help feeling empty, drained and hollow. Where did my old fire go? What happened to that sass? I feel so pathetic right now compared to the writer that I was before. It would seem that it is not just my physical body that is deteriorating with time and age.

I don’t necessarily live a happy life now, though it has its sparkling moments. But the darkness that was my muse is now as elusive as the ‘normalcy’ I craved before. Instead of black, I now see in dull, boring gray. There’s nothing there to inspire or ire me enough to get the creative juices flowing.

I am not high, but not low either. How mediocre.

Review: Limelight Sketch Book

By on May 25, 2017
Limelight sketch book

Confession: This is a product of my hoarder tendencies in action. See, I already have an art journal, a ream of practice paper, a calligraphy practice notebook, a mini-tower of a memo pad, 2 dotted notebooks, and an extra planner which I also use for calligraphy practice. That is already more than enough. That is, in fact, already too much. *cringe* But no, when I saw this available at the local National Bookstore, I just had to get myself one or die of wanting.
