It seems the stresses of motherhood (like the almost sleepless nights and strain of carrying a heavy baby) have finally caught up with me. 😐

I can hardly function right these past coupla days. I feel weak and have no appetite to speak of. That I am still able to produce milk at all is a wonder of sorts. My only saving grace in that aspect is that I still drink Enfamama.

I only got a good, long look at myself in the mirror earlier while dressing up and preparing to go shopping (for more baby stuff). While I know a lot of women are struggling to lose post-pregnancy weight, I saw that I have no need to. Aside from my still semi-protruding belly my body’s back to normal (not that I ever got bloated during my pregnancy anyway). In fact, I am thinner and my ribs are sticking out–a first since my skinny freshman high school days. I was able to fit into my non-stretch denim skinny jeans and fitted shirt (kapal ng mukha magsuot ng fit no?) without any difficulty nor any undesirably noticeable bulge.

Francine’s upcoming Baptism is another thing keeping us all occupied. I made the photo invitations last night and had them developed earlier today. Here’s my handiwork:

What do you think? Had to white-out the reception venue since that’s our residence address (privacy and security reasons of course). None of the sosyalan affairs, the lunch reception that follows is a good, old-fashioned barrio salu-salo typical of most events that take place here. 😉

The Christening cakes at Red Ribbon were all too small for my liking so I ended up choosing a Birthday cake instead. 😀 Needless to say it’s a chocolate cake. It doesn’t look too birthday-y anyway and can pass for a Christening cake because of its light, girly colors. Of course, I had the script altered to fit the occasion. Here’s the cake (picture from Red Ribbon):

So yeah. All pink stuff, with a baby girl and all. I think maybe that’s the reason why I lost my appetite? 😛 Haha.

Anywho, in between all of those I was somehow able to finish the Hunger Games trilogy. I liked the first book best, the other two at par. Katniss (the lead character) kicks ass although there are times when I wanna kick her. I am tempted to and might even make a review one of these days, if time permits.

I am now reading (during those precious stolen moments when Francine sleeps) the second book of another trilogy, Linger from Maggie Stiefvater’s Wolves of Mercy Falls. The story kinda smacks of Twilight to me albeit with werewolves instead of vampires as leading supernatural characters and a heroine who reminds me of Bella sans the major klutziness clumsiness. Still, curiosity pushes me to read on as I want to know what happens next in the story.

Speaking of e-books, my Kindle cover arrived today. Yay! 😀 Will post pictures tomorrow, as well as a coupla stuff I got for myself along with Francine’s haul.
