I don’t know about you, but I am soooo not liking this summer heat. At all. And having long hair just makes it worse. So when the heat gets almost unbearable I put my hair up like so:

It looks like a beehive updo, but it’s really just a high ponytail held up by a claw clip at the back. Very easy to do. Just follow these easy-peasy steps:
- Gather your hair on top of your head and tie up with an elastic. Do not pull the ends all the way through so that it makes a kinda floppy bun at the top.
- Keeping the bun facing forward, attach the claw clip horizontally at the back to keep the bun in place.
- Fluff the bun a bit and you’re done!
I didn’t comb my hair prior to doing this so as you can see, it’s really messy. Just barely acceptable for the beach or mall, or for running errands. But for a more polished look, say, for the office, you could smooth your hair a bit by combing and maybe applying some hair serum to tame the frizzies.

Thanks Miss Doorlight! 😉 I have no intentions of cutting my hair either so this is the next best thing I could think of. Doesn’t hurt that you could pretty much style it as sloppily or as neatly as befits the occassion either.

Great look! It’s excellent for those with good bone structure. My suggestion, though, for smoothing hair out is with hairspray or mousse. I fear serum will just make hair grow limp especially in this heat. 🙂

Yeah, I have thin hair too. 🙂 Just fluff the bun to the max to amp up the volume.
I usually pull my hair up in a messy bun when I go out haha! Especially since it’s been sooooo hot in Manila lately!
This is basically a messy bun, just styled a bit more and helped by the claw clip. 😉 And it’s really hot here in Batangas too.
My hair was so long it almost reaches my hip and yes, this heat is unbearable!! So a week or two ago, I had my hair cut short (just below my chin). Heh. 🙂
