So at the start of the year, I joined Goodreads’ reading challenge and aimed for 50 books for this year. Last year, I aimed for 100 books, but fell short by 12. Since I’m a worker drone now and might not have much time left for reading, I gave myself a significantly lower target of 50 for 2013. And I am happy to report that I finished it in less than half a year! 😀
Now, I am not sure I’ll be able to find as much time for reading in the second half of the year, so I’ll bump up my target by just 25 more for a total of 75 books. I am currently reading George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones which is quite a long novel, and I plan on reading the whole A Song of Ice and Fire series (at least the 5 published books) so that should take up a good chunk of my allocated (oftentimes stolen ;)) reading time.
You’re fast! I’m still only at my 5th book this year: Pretties (S. Westerfeld). Still on track though coz I only aimed at 1 book/ month

Wow! That is a LOOOOT!!! How I wish I can read that fast. I can’t believe somebody who actually has a life (and a daughter) can read so much books in such a short time. You have superpowers! 🙂
Wow, I never thought of it that way. o.O I just love reading so much that I just have to find time to read whenever wherever. Even in the toilet, gross as that may sound. 😛
I read in the toilet too! Hahaha! It’s actually very relaxing to read in there because there are no distractions 🙂 it’s my favorite ‘me’ time.
True, one cannot be disturbed while in the toilet (except for dire emergencies) hence it makes for a very good time for reading. 😀
I’m so jealous! I only aimed for 10 books because I know I’ll be busy with blogging, the wedding preps and all, and guess what? I haven’t even reached half yet! Haha. I hope I have the time 🙁

I envy you for finishing 50 books in five months. I aim for 1 book a month but I always fall short juggling work, blogging, and performing my wifey and mommy duties. Boy, am I making lots of excuses! Do you read ebooks or the conventional-printed-on-paper books? I still want to read with the conventional ones… I love the smell of paper used on printing books. 🙂
I read on my Kindle sis. I have long since foregone printed books because of the clutter. 😐
