In my never-ending quest to do new things and explore my environs, I decided to go walk some more all over the city where I haven’t been before. And wouldn’t you know it, I hit my 10,000 steps before noon!

And because I’m trying to keep these explorations of mine as frugal as possible, I just use public transit. I low-key panicked last night when I couldn’t load my transit card thru its app as I normally do. I ended up loading via Google Wallet, something I wasn’t even aware of before. But it was all for naught, since I never had to use the transit card anyway. The couple times I had to ride the bus, it was the free shuttle.

I made spicy tuna mayo onigiri last night for the express purpose of having baon today for my walk. It was a good call to not wrap it in nori last night. I just brought a couple pieces of nori and wrapped up the onigiri right before eating. It made for a real moment: the crunch of the nori, the savory taste of the onigiri filling, the cool breeze blowing as I snacked in the shade in front of a gorgeous view of the sea. So damn satisfying.
