For me, going to any SM mall is not complete without visiting Watson’s. Really, for someone who vehemently denies being kikay, I sure check out (and buy from) that particular store a wee bit too much for my own good.

So anywho, the Watson’s store in SM City Lipa was still under renovation when I went there yesterday. The place was a mess, I tell you. They were obviously under some serious re-layout process because the products were helter-skelter! I couldn’t even find the soap I which I went there for in the first place. Tsk.

On the up side, it looks like they will be carrying new product lines. Well, for makeup at least. One particular stand caught my eye. Not that I am interested in makeup, but it did look interesting. The brand was called L.A. Girl.

Curious me, I actually waded through the stuff and staff on the floor just to see what the products were. There were still only a few pieces on the top rack and there were no price tags anywhere yet. At initial glance, there seemed to be some lip products, a bottle of liquid foundation, a coupla mascaras and a coupla concealers as well. The mascaras were in these cheap-looking (sorry!) pink and matte gold(?) tubes. The concealers were what caught my attention though, as I have been getting a bit interested in, err, concealing my facial imperfections as of late. The products piqued my curiosity enough for me to look for it online when I got home.

LA Girl

That’s a picture (screencap) taken from the L.A. Girls website. Aside from makeup, they also have quite a selection of nail products from polishes to treatments. Now this got me excited! I usually have a pedicure every coupla weeks or so and I always always change nail color everytime. My toenails have suffered though, becoming discolored and with white patches so I must always use colored polish to conceal the damage. Here are some of the Nail Treatments I want to try (and would hopefully be available soon):

They have lots of nail polishes with different finishes too, and most reviews I read gave positive feedback. So I’m excited about having even some of them available locally.

How about you, have you used any of these products before?

  1. give your nails a break and stop using nail polishes for a few days lang so you’ll have a healthy toenails. i used to paint my toenails as well a few years back but decided to stop since it’s turning yellowish. 🙂 i must say, the the whitener&smoother and perfect nails looks promising to me! i think i might visit watson one of these days.

    1. Maybe I will just have my pedicure sans the nail color next time. And just wear closed shoes when I go out to hide the discolorations if ever. 😀 Hopefully next time I go to Watson’s the L.A. Girl stuff are already up and available and the Whitener & Smoother and other nail treatments are there for my taking!

  3. Let us know which treatments you like. I have wanted to try some for a while now. I can’t believe they axed their L.A. Girl Essentials Color line.

    1. I want to try all the treatments I put in the post. Unfortunately, my local Watson’s carries only the cosmetics line of L.A. Girl, and none of the nail colors or treatments at all. 😐
