A shopaholic, that is. Am I?
I was out practically all day and did not bring my camera. A DSLR isn’t exactly what you’d lug around when malling, not on top of a heavy bag (I have this tendency to bring half the house in my bag when going out). So though I saw some interesting stuff at the mall, I wasn’t able to take any decent photos. I do have my camera phone with me, but I could not bring myself to tarnish this project of mine with a basta na shot just for the sake of having something to post. Yeah, I am maarte like that. So I looked for something interesting to photograph the minute I got home, and this is what caught my eye. Shopaholic!
So anywho, yes I was at the mall this afternoon and as usual I felt this damnably incurable itch to buy something, anything just for the sake of buying. You ever felt like that too? Like, I feel really really bad if I go home empty-handed. Never mind that that means I saved me some money. I still feel inconsolably bad.
I very nearly got myself a new watch. It was really cool, black leather with an adorable studded detachable strap I could use alone as a bracelet. And it was on sale at 50% off. You could say I was really tempted. But thank the good Lord, I was able to resist. Hallelujah!
Meanwhile, Tita Ed saw this bright yellow dress that she thought would look great on me. She told Mama, and Mama in turn hauled me off to the department store to see the said dress. Lo and behold, it was indeed a very bright and cheery yellow dress! Haha. I actually liked it. The fabric is soft and stretchy, perfect for this blasted summer weather. Tried it on. Fits me perfectly indeed. Mama is happy it is not black, and bought it for me. So I got a new dress without spending a single centavo. Not quite the definition of a shopaholic, eh? *winks*
I’d like to think I’m not a shopaholic either. Key words are”I’d like to think”. 😀
Same here. 😀 Hirap lang pag andun ka na mismo eh.
