Lucky lips + more Freebies

For some reason, I seem to be lucky with promos and giveaways concerning lip products. 😀 Just yesterday, I got those Sketches lip gloss from MC’s giveaway. A coupla weeks before, I got my Eyeko Ambassador gift in the form of another lip gloss. Here they are:

I must admit though that I am not that big a fan of glosses since I find their glossy (duh!) finish just a bit too attention-grabbing for my semi-conservative taste. But hey, who am I to say no to free stuff? 😉 Thankfully, these glosses here are not as sticky as I thought they’d be. As for the shiny finish, I find that it could be tolerable if I apply only small amounts at a time. So yeah, these babies oughtta last me a long time. 😀

Oh yeah, I remember I got a coupla free samples from Carmex last year (I think) back when they were still promoting the products here in the Philippines. I still have a picture, look:

Last year I also won a whole box of 12 Carmex Cherry Stick lip balms on their FB promo. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of that. Boo.

And speaking of free stuff, as I said in my last post, I enrolled in some free online courses the other night. Aside from the Alison courses I’m taking, I also applied for a coupla correspondence courses from Email College. Actually, I found Email College first. But the email lessons took more than a day to get to my inbox after signing up and impatient creature that I am, I went looking for another option with a more immediate response and found Alison. So there. All in all, I am actually taking five free online courses right now. 😀 Haha. Addict much? Here are the links if you are interested in enrolling too (click on the pictures):

Last but not the least, who wants free e-books? I know I do! That’s why I was chuffed when I read about Blogging for Books on Fiercer Bait:

Basically you pick out an e-book from the selection they give you, and you get a free (protected) copy in exchange for a review. Ain’t that just great? 😀 For my first e-book I picked this:

Coincidentally (or not) it was also what Miss C` of Fiercer Bait picked. 😉 But what can I say? Absolutely anything with chocolate on it is too good for me to pass up! I have only read a few paragraphs, but I think I already like it. Hopefully I can finish it sometime during the weekend. Yes, no rush since I wanna enjoy reading a new book for the sake of reading. Lord knows how long ago I’ve run out of new reading materials that I have settled for rereading old books stashed here. 😉
