Now, I rather fancy myself one of those cool moms. You know, those moms who are not-too-uptight about their kids. I have my clucky Mother Hen moments too, but for the most part I let my daughter explore the world on her own terms. So, point being I let her go out in the rain. Scratch that, I mean I let her play with and in the rain. It’s a wonderful childhood experience that every kid must try at least once in their young lives.

The happiness captured on her face is simply priceless. 🙂

This was not her first time to play in the rain. She was I think barely older than one when she did. I’d like to think it helps build up her immunity too, her body adjusting or compensating or whatever so she doesn’t easily catch colds with just a little shower during unexpected rainfall. 😉

I even accompanied her last weekend. Me in all my adult glory, running in the rain after my gleefully giggling little girl. See what I mean about being a cool mom? 😀 It made for one awesome mother-daughter bonding, the other kids with us notwithstanding.

    1. I was kind of sickly as a kid too, but I was able to enjoy playing in the rain with my cousins. Not as much as I wanted though, which is probably why I still do it up to now (making up for lost time and all). 😀
