Guess who’s now part of BloggersPH? 😀

BloggersPH

I found out about the group(?) through Aiza’s blog post. When I read it I was like, whoa, big time! I mean, some of the most popular Pinoy bloggers I read and follow are in it too:

  • Tricia Gosingtian (Tricia Will Go Places) – I have been a fan since her early deviantArt days, when she’d shoot cosplays with Alodia.
  • Lia Espina Lopez (Geek Girl Manila) – Her old blog Gadgenista was one of my favorite online haunts back in college and I have been a fan until now.
  • Bianca Gonzales (iamsuperbianca) – Does this girl really need any other introduction? Who doesn’t know her?
  • Jackie Go (Go! Jackie Go) – One of the prettiest and most stylish mommy bloggers, like, ever.
  • Yoshke Dimen (The Poor Traveler) – He’s a fellow Batangueño! He actually came from just the next town.

But aside from those celebrity bloggers mentioned above, and then Aiza and Jean, I didn’t really know much about the other bloggers. I figured some are regular non-celebrity bloggers (like yours truly). The basic requirements were as follows:

  • You are Pinoy or have Filipino blood, and have a blog
  • Said blog must be active for at least 3 months and have a minimum of 12 posts

Pasok sa banga! Easy-peasy, right? 😉 So with a lot of apprehension and some bravado, I convinced myself to submit my blog as well. Here’s what the submission form looks like:

I got the email from the BloggersPH Founder last night informing me that my blog was already listed on the site. Awesome-sauce! 😀 I feel so honored to be listed with them celebrity bloggers. *fan girl moment* Now, before I embarrass myself further with my shameless fangirling, let me show you my BloggersPH profile:

BloggersPH profileBeat that winning blogging tip, huh? 😛

But seriously, though I have been blogging since college days (roughly a decade now) on different platforms I won’t really consider myself that much of a credible blog resource person. For one, I have never been a niche blogger. That is, I write just about anything and everything–whatever strikes my fancy. One moment I’m talking about food and the next entry I’m ranting about something or another and then next I go on an indefinite blog leave. Not that anyone really notices since I wasn’t even sure I have any audience. But I enjoyed churning out post after post, about even the most mundane stuff like online quiz results. I like to think that I improved my writing skills through the practice. Well, that and spell-check. 😉

Words have power, if wielded correctly. It can be a tool or a weapon, and it is up to you how you will use them as you spill your thoughts on the blogospshere. Your blog is an online projection of who you are. Yes, even if you deliberately created one under another guise as a sort of alter-ego. Every word and punctuation (or lack thereof) is still a reflection of you. Keep that in mind, and you’ll be alright.

Happy blogging! 🙂

  1. Congrats, sis! Ang saya. Hehe. I’m planning to do blog swapping din. I always find interesting blogs through blog swaps. Reason din yun bakit nag change ako ng layout.

Anyway, I agree with everything you have said in this post!! Fangirling moments din ako nung nalaman ko na na qualify ako. 🙂 Anyway, sa GT blog FB group natin sis, do you want to make a badge for our blogs? Para ma spread the word natin yung group natin. hehe.

    1. I’ll try to make one sis, but I’m kinda leery about using the Female Network or GIRLTalk images from the site. Bawal kasi i-reproduce. I was thinking of doing without the “GT” in the group name then opening it up to other bloggers we know. What do you think?

  2. Hi Nathalie, Thank you for submitting your blog to BloggersPH! Thank you also for putting the site on a pedestal with this awesome post of yours. Keep on blogging and always stay cool! 🙂

  3. Yay! I’m so happy for you sis! I want to sign up too! By the way, I love your BloggersPH profile… Now I know the reason behind your Mental Snapshots blog name. 🙂
