Cyleina Strawberry

Cyleina Strawberry back

Even before Cyleina soaps became available in Watson’s and SM department stores, I was already an avid Cyleina user. In fact I used to order the famous Black Pearl, Tomato, Kojic and Grapeseed from a really nice reseller. However, for some reason despite its popularity in GT forums, I was only able to use and try the Strawberry soap lately.

Marketed mostly as a whitening and exfoliant soap, Strawberry is especially recommended for those who have sunburned skin. Though I was neither dark nor sunburned, I got a bar anyway to try our of sheer curiosity when I first saw Cyleina soaps in Watson’s. But it was love for me from first use!

True to its “hype” as a fantastic scrub bar, I never needed to use a separate body scrub since using Strawberry soap. It really does exfoliate the skin WITHOUT the stings and abrasion of the usual body scrubs. All I do is lather up, leave it on for a couple of minutes and then rinse up. Then I rub my skin with my bare wet hand. And it’s true, I can remove the dirt and dead skin cells using just the palm of my hand! How much more gentle can an exfoliant be? Then I just rinse up again and that’s it. Squeaky-clean skin is mine!

One thing I don’t like about it is that it can be a bit drying. Sometimes there’s some micro-peeling once the skin dries after a bath, but nothing too serious that can’t be fixed by a good moisturizing lotion.

Still, it is one of the best soaps I have ever used and one of my bathroom staples. And its affordable price tag (only P65 considering it is organic after all) and ready availability in major malls is a BIG plus. The fact that it’s safe to use even for pregnant women is just icing on the cake.  Highly recommended!

  1. I’ve tried cyleina years ago, when I was active in Teentalk before GirlTalk. Love their tomato soap. But when my pimples where gone, I switched back to other facial wash than bar soap. Mahirap pag nagtatravel eh. 🙂

    1. That is why I had two sets of soaps back when I was working: one set at home and another at the boarding house. 😛

Actually, I only started using Cyleina last year.

  2. I really like the smell of Cyleina’s Strawberry soap. All Cyleina soaps makes my skin exfoliate but they also make it look dry after every bath, even Shea Butter which is supposedly moisturizing.

But it’s a good thing that they’re available now at Watson’s. It’ll be easier to buy when I “crave” for the scent of the Strawberry soap.

    1. Yeah, Strawberry really smells like real strawberries. 😀 Good news talaga nung naging available ang Cyleina soaps sa Watson’s. Too bad hindi lang ng variants available. 🙁
