So. I was at the mall this afternoon, supposedly to get a new power cord for my laptop or just have it repaired if at all possible. And guess what? Of all the things I could forget, I totally zonked out and left the laptop and power cord at home! Sweet Jesus. Last night’s sleeplessness must have really fried out my brain cells.

Anywho, with nothing to do really except roam and roam the mall some more, I decided to finally have my haircut, with the bangs of course. *winks* I had no choice but to have it done at David’s Salon since there are no other salons at the mall. It wasn’t as expensive as I expected, and the staff was surprisingly friendly (forgive the bias, I thought they were gonna be all hoity-toity because I was just in shorts and t-shirt). I showed them the first photo from my earlier post and told them that’s the style I want. And here is the comparison:

bangs
me with bangs--for real this time ^_^

What do you think? I rather like it as it’s actually quite close to the style I tried to imitate (though with my flatter hair of course). I just hope it still looks as good after a bath. Haha. This time I think I really need to actually make the effort to get the bangs to look just like that always.

The stylist advised me to get something for my hair too to tame the frizz. Oh, and also advised me not to get Vitress since he said it was according to him “mainit sa buhok.” And obedient girl that I am, I searched high and low at Watson’s for the most bang-for-your-buck anti-frizz serum and ended up buying Sunsilk’s Damage Repair Reconstruction Serum (the one in the orange pump bottle) for P154. I figured it was a good as any of the similar but higher-price products since it supposedly reconstructs hair too (but probably if used with the whole system though).

I also ended up buying some multivitamins and a bar of Cyleina Strawberry soap. Speaking of which, I was totally chuffed when I discovered that Cyleina has finally gone mainstream and is now available in Watson’s! There were only three variants available in SM Lipa (Black Pearl, Kojic and the new JUMBO Tomato) but there were more in SM Batangas (the three plus Strawberry, Rice Bran, Shea Butter, Grapeseed and Papaya-Goat’s Milk). Saves me and other Cyleina addicts the hassle of ordering and reordering from resellers. Whee!

My trip was not wasted after all. *winks*

      1. If anything, you look very different than usual. It isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t say it looks exceptional either. It’s just… different. More photos so we see it better!

  1. Good salon choice 🙂 I trust David’s to do a good job all the time and never fails. Yup sis, konting (hair) body pa, and exactly sa pic na 🙂

    1. How do coax more volume out of my fine hair? Hmmm… Regarding David’s, I had a haircut there a coupla years ago and to my horror the stylist literally just chopped off my long hair, taking away around four inches right off the first snip. I was shocked and horrified to say the least. I only went back now and I’m happy that the results are quite satisfactory compared to my prior experience. 😀

  2. Hello! 🙂 Got your link from girltalk. The bangs look good on you. I like how it frames your face. 🙂 Thank you also for sharing about cyleina soaps being available in watsons. I tried the black pearl before and it was a good buy. 🙂

    1. Thanks Karla! 🙂 Another Cyleina addict, eh? Gotta say, not only are the soaps fine, Miss Leigh (the company owner) is also hands-down the nicest online entrepreneur I’ve ever known. She personally sent me a message thanking me for my wall post regarding Cyleina on her FB page. 🙂

  3. Never tried David’s Salon yet. Looks like they follow instructions naman pala and don’t murder your hair. Hehe. Congrats on the new look sis 🙂

    1. Thanks Madz! 🙂 I came in ready, armed with the photo of the style I want. 😉 Thankfully, the stylists talked to me about my hair first before doing anything, even the shampoo.

Maybe I’ll post more during the weekend. Maybe. 😉

  7. nice bangs 🙂 but if you can more add volume to your hair like in the first photo, i think it will look nicer 🙂

nagulat din ako when i visited the nearest watson’s branch, may cyleina na! but i didn’t buy ‘coz i’m more hiyang to the soap that i’m using now, which is also available in watson’s.

    1. Thanks Sheng! 🙂 Medyo na-flat hair pagka-blow dry sa salon, although mas smooth din kesa sa usual. 😉

Anywho, ano soap gamit mo? Na-curious lang. Haha. I am now using the Cyleina Strawberry I bought and so far I am loving it. Exfoliating nga siya, pero hindi harsh at hindi di nakaka-dry ng skin. Love! 😀

      1. For the face, I’m using Shulammite carrot soap. Mas mabilis and visible whitening effect nito sakin. Then I also use Ilog Maria RJ Cleanser/Moisturizer to moisturize.

For the body, iba-iba. Sometimes, I use Shulammite, sometimes Ilog Maria Honey and Milk, sometimes Cyleina’s Sheat Butter. Body naman eh kaya pwedeng i-abuse. Haha.

Pero I like Cyleina’s Strawberry soap, esp it’s scent. Parang sarap kagatin. I run out of it though pero buti na lang available sa Watson’s. I can easily buy pag trip ko ng mag-Strawberry ulit.

        1. I don’t use much whitening products or soaps on my face nowadays. Madali kasi pumuti face ko, naiiwan ang kulay ng katawan ko. 😛

Right now I alternate Strawberry and PGM on my body for whitening. Usually I just use Celeteque facial wash on my face, although I use Strawberry too sometimes for some much-needed exfoliation. I just bought Grapeseed too, will be using that when PGM runs out but I still won’t be replacing Strawberry anytime soon. 😉

  8. Thanks for the lovely comment 🙂 well you look bangin’ with your hairstyle. It adds a certain oomph factor! I just wish I could carry the same look. But hmm…why not I might actually consider haha!
