Like I said in one of my previous posts, happiness belongs to kids. Growing up, growing older, they take a big toll on our outlooks. We may say we are becoming wiser, more mature, but in reality we’re just getting more cautious, more jaded, more cynical. Sad but true. Pure, unadultered happiness is but a pipe dream. Only snatches are possible. Pieces and fragments like sunshine reflected off the shards of a broken mirror. Only teasing the senses. But never quite filling the hunger.

The only thing that’s real is pain.

    1. An engineer (by profession) actually, on a crusade to convince people that not all engineers suck at English and grammar through my written works. 😀 Haha. But yeah, I am aspiring to write on a professional basis, even as a part-time job for now. Thanks sis, and for visiting too! 🙂

I do believe that. And when you said happiness belongs to kids, yeah true and there is always this kid in every one of us. Sometimes it helps to reach that “kid” from inside of us. We still deserve to be happy. After all, it’s our life. We can do whatever we want with it.

I linked you in my site sis. Thanks for dropping by as well. 😀

    1. Right you are sis. There’s always a kid in all of us, who is the true source of the happiness we feel. 🙂 And yes, I agree that it’s still up to us if we’ll reach out to that kid and our happiness in every situation we are in.

Thank you for linking my site sis, will be adding yours in my Blogroll as well. 😀
