Random babblings after a semi-hiatus

The Pencil Bun. Because it was soooooo hot and I totally spazzed this morning and forgot all my hair elastics.

Really hot summer, eh? So much that sunscreen/sunblock and sunnies are as essential (if not more) as underwear. Tsk. I never was a fan of hot and bright days–I prefer cloudy skies and cool rain, thank you very much. I guess that’s pretty telling about my personal disposition as by-default pessimist, huh? Oh well.

Anywho. So I have been MIA from work and the blogosphere the whole week last week. That’s because my Tito died last last Sunday (may his good soul rest in peace) and I was online for just a minimal time the whole week as mourning of sorts. That and I got delegated the task of filing his death certificate, which was my first time and so I had no idea how. Add to that the fact that I had to file in Manila and get transfer permits and such because the wake and burial would be here in Batangas. In fairness to the staff at Manila City Hall, they were accommodating and made the whole process relatively hassle-free for a newbie like me.

Also last week, a cousin had an operation to remove a myoma. I was supposed to take her to the hospital but the transactions at Manila City Hall took longer than I expected and so someone else had to take her. Just the same I was able to pick up a bag of blood for her, as a contingency for the operation. Thank God she’s okay now. 🙂

So yeah, I had a pretty busy week last week. Between that and running after my hyperactive daughter all over the wake, I feel like I worked more than when I had actual work. Oh well. I’m not complaining since that was family stuff and family always comes first no matter what. 😉

Speaking of family, Francine is growing up and learning so fast. And she got my impatient streak in spades! She complains antagal! like your nobody’s business while Temple Run (or whatever game she’s playing) loads. Asking for her second bottle of milk, I haven’t even gotten off the bed yet and she’s already complaining antagal! 😮 Geez. She’ll make one hard boss someday. 😉

Damn, I love this girl so much!

She’s growing taller but leaner, as opposed to being chubbier like before. I cut her hair myself and she won’t keep still hence the uneven bangs. 😛 All photos taken with my smartphone and improved by tinkering at Photoshop.
