Inspired by Francesca‘s monogram wallpaper tutorial, I just had to do one for my own.
I actually made two monogram versions, the first one with just three initials (I skipped the initial of my second first name–you do get that, right?) and the other with my complete initials. Here they are, respectively:
I like the second one better because the initials are a tiny bit intertwined. Here’s the finished wallpaper with the monogram:
As you could probably gather from my blog theme and layout, I am a fan of monochrome styles and designs. I figured the monogram by itself is intricate enough already so I opted to keep the background simple with stripes. I embossed the monogram just because I feel like it for some added dimension. I can’t help thinking the whole look leans more into the masculine side than the feminine, but I like it. Just the same, I made another one with a lighter background:
There. More feminine without being too girly. Though the monogram seems to be a bit off-center? Tsk. Oh well. Will be using this one for my office PC. 😀
What do you think?
Hi Nathalie! 😀 I also love the second monogram with all your initials on it! I think that’s the perfect example of a monogram with four initials 😀
Thanks Francesca! 😀
Hey hey! Thanks for bringing me to this page and the page-inspiration of this one! really nice!
Dang it I realized how poor the first one I did was. And to think I’m seriously using that for my wedding invites. Oh well. Haha Will try this sometime! 🙂
P.S. How do you make that background? I like it.
Actually the RV monogram itself is already pretty good, but you could frame it a bit better to add some oomph. 😉 I like the font you used, btw.
Which background are you referring to, the curly text balloon? I just got it off Google image search. 😀
