Spent yesterday afternoon with my folks and some friends at Taal Bayview Bistro. Had a light merienda then went shooting. Damn, I missed shooting. πŸ˜€ However, this time I was the subject so I did not get to shoot a lot. Nevertheless, this picture by Bobby pretty much summed up how happy I was to be with people who matter to me, doing things I love (eating and shooting):

So yeah, that’s me on a swing grinning like there’s no tomorrow. πŸ˜€ Kinda surprised me to find out that the resto has a playground since it wasn’t there yet the last time we went there some weeks ago. That, or I just wasn’t paying attention to the surroundings. πŸ˜›

You could pretty much tell in a glance that I was having the time of my life. I mean, what else would you expect when you have a kid at heart, with friends, on a playground? Who ever outgrows the giddiness of seeing a swing set, especially one where you could still fit your twenty-something-oodd tushie and rock away like there’s no tomorrow? I know I don’t. πŸ˜€

Anywho, my three friends were shooting me and it was quite a new experience. I am used to being behind the camera, and truth is even though I’m comfortable with the shooters, I was still kinda intimidated by the idea that the focus is on me, you know? It was my idea in the first place, but still.

I got copies of their photos and did my own processing, aside from them doing their own. Here are my fave shots from each of the three:

Photography: Ariel Magyawe Jr.

Photography: Michele Ramos

Photography: Robert Leynes

Again, all the post-processing for this set done by me in Adobe Lightroom 2. I used different treatments for each photo, depending on how I feel about it. Uh, you can see the difference in processing between the three, right? I purposely chose a different pose for each shooter as well. Hmmm… What do you think of the pics?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I got my bangs trimmed the other day. Instead of full bangs like before, I left the sides as is and just had the middle sectionΒ trimmed and feathered a bit. Got a love-hate relationship with the resulting style though, sometimes it looks good but most of the time I just hate it. πŸ˜› Oh well.

  1. I love the last photo! πŸ™‚ Definitely profile pic material. Ahhh, I miss shooting too. The last time I used the camera was three weeks ago in Manila.

    1. Thanks Rose! πŸ™‚ I suppose the third photo is a “classic” profile pic material, and I was considering using it for my FB but went with another more quirky photo. πŸ˜‰ Thinking of maybe using this next when I wanna change my profile pic again.

    1. Thanks Nuna! πŸ™‚ Ah talaga, matagal na yun dun? Di lang talaga siguro kami nalabas pag nakain dun kaya di ko napapansin, tamang kain lang sa loob tas layas na. πŸ˜€ Haha.

    1. I am wearing contacts (got a very poor eyesight from all those years of being a hardcore bookworm) mrskendz, otherwise I didn’t do anything to my peepers for this shoot. πŸ™‚ Oh, I used Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara but that’s about it. Thanks! πŸ™‚
