The Vampire Academy series is one of my favorite paranormal YA series. And based on the trailer, I am quite pleased that Zoey Deutch is as witty/snarky as Rose Hathaway in the books. Oh, and really pretty too, though I was expecting someone with a more muscular or thicker body frame than her since she’s supposed to be training to be a guardian of royalty (a Moroi princess) after all. And I was also expecting the said Moroi princess to look more delicate than the one supposed to be protecting her. Oh well.
Still, the movie’s release has got me anticipating Valentine’s Day–until I learned that it will be shown here two days earlierΒ on February 12, and it will be shown here first worldwide. Awesome-sauce! π
Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is just one of the dozen or so movies I am looking forward to watching this year. I have penned them all in my planner, together with their US release dates. That is of course, still subject to change as is the case with VA. Still, gives me something to look forward to in the coming months. Will post a list of them movies later, together with trailers.
How about you, are you gonna watch Vampire Academy too? π
I agree. I was expecting a taller and bulkier Rose, not petite Zoey. Still, the trailer showed her as snarky, and witty, so that Rose Hathaway enough for me. π Will watch this movie, too!
Yey! π It’s quite frustrating when movie characters don’t physically match their book counterparts, yes?
so true.
