Google Talk is my main mode of communication with him since it’s pretty convenient; we both have Google accounts and there’s a free app for both iOS (for him) and Android (for me). Shallow as it sounds, what frustrates me is the lack of feature for sending or sharing photos across devices. So imagine my excitement when I saw this:
Okay, so we could just have used another chat app altogether, one with photo sharing capabilities. I have Viber, but he doesn’t because he’s a self-imposed hermit even more antisocial than I am and doesn’t even use his mobile phone. WhatsApp is free on Android but a paid app on the Apple App Store. So I we settle for good old Google Talk for convenience, sans the photo sharing.
Google+ Hangouts is the reincarnation version of Google Talk that I have looooong been waiting for. So I updated/replaced my app first thing when I saw the update notification. This is what it looks like:

Uh, never mind the mushy message? 😛 That’s excited me testing it out by sending him a photo. Btw, does curly hair suit me? 😀
Thankfully, I was able to persuade my stubborn man to upgrade his desktop Google Chat to the new Hangouts. And he even installed the app on his iPod without prompting, would you believe? 😛
