I’m just about finished with Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was, well, okay. Couldn’t see what all the hype is about. It didn’t get me hooked like The Hunger Games trilogy. So instead of diving into the next book in the series, The Girl who Played with Fire, I’m reading this first:

Ain’t the cover beautiful? πŸ™‚ The story seems interesting too, and got a 4.4 rating in Goodreads. Oughtta be good, ayt? Here’s the synopsis:

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.

So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous deadβ€”keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.

When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn’t expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’s never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.

And she, for whatever reason, spares his life.

What do you think? Have you read it? Can’t wait to read it! πŸ™‚

    1. I’m almost finished with the book sis, it’s really good! Not your typical ghost story. I really recommend it. πŸ™‚

Craving for a Kindle because of me sis? Am I that bad an influence? My best friend’s got the craving too ever since I showed her my Kindle. πŸ˜›

        1. Congrats sis! Mine was a very very early Christmas gift too, albeit from the BF instead of from my lonesome. πŸ˜‰ Where are you planning to get yours, straight from Amazon or through local resellers?
