Welcome to the first of my Project 365!
Truth is I’m no good at beginnings. Like, right now I have no idea where or how to start this. But let me try.
The purpose of this project is to, well, keep me alive so to speak. It seems I have been losing my mojo these days, losing interest in practically everything that used to matter to me. Books, gadgets, photography.. really everything in short. So to keep me from going totally under, I needed a purpose to keep going everyday. It is a task, a chore, yes. But one that I put myself up to. It is a choice. My choice.
As I understand it, projects like these require you to take a photo everyday and maybe ponder a bit upon it. So I’ll be doing exactly that. So I guess this might turn out to be a daily reflection of sorts too. We’ll see. But enough of the introductions. Let’s get on to my first entry.
I bought these two books some days ago from National Bookstore. That was Wednesday, I think. Got them for P50 each on sale. Yeah, I rarely get new books these days. Would love to, but practicality gets the better of me. Which is a good thing, actually. Buying a new one and then throwing it aside after finishing it seems a waste. Well, to me anyway. I already have tons of books here at home, lots more loaned to friends (most do not ever come back) and I seriously have no place to stash them all. Hence you’ll see some in my bookcase, more at the study table, some on the countertops, some on the bed.. You get the drift. But I am digressing.
Like I said, I got them a few days before. Under normal circumstances, I would have finished them both in roughly a day and a half. Or even just a day if the story’s that good. But it took me until this afternoon to finish even just one of them (Look Again). Is there something wrong, or is there something wrong here?
Anywho, Look Again‘s story was surprisingly good. Though a suspense thriller by genre, the underlying subplot touched me in more ways than I expected. I actually found myself crying while reading a certain part of the novel. So yeah, I guess I did enjoy it that way.
Oh, and it felt good finishing a book again.
Welcome to the project, sis! It’s not an easy task, but it’s fun. I hope this project helps you fulfill that purpose. 🙂
There’s a thread in GT where you can post your link so the other ladies can include you in their blogroll, by the way.
You’re actually one of my inspirations for doing this, since you’ve been at it for a while now. I figured, I take photos for most of my blog entries too anyway, so why not make it a daily habit while at it too? 😉
Will visit that thread you’re talking about and look for other 365’ers. Thanks sis! 🙂
I never intended to inspire anyone with my project, but I’m glad it did that for you. Self-serving kasi talaga yung project na yun. 😛 It’s not always easy, but I enjoy doing it with the rest of the girls. 🙂
At first, I thought it was more of a photography project than anything else. Especially since I first encountered 365 projects on JPG. But when I saw some of the others’ work in your blog roll, I realized it’s actually more of a commitment thing than anything. So again, thanks. 🙂

Congrats on the launch of your Project 365! I’ve been meaning to start that too but I think I’ll just start next year.. Jan 1. hehe 😉
Thanks Cha! 🙂 I actually have been meaning to start this for quite some time now, just never felt like really starting up to now. Procrastinating much? 😛 Will look forward to your Project 365.. next year?
