How My Bullet Journal Helps Me

By on January 24, 2017

I have been regularly using my 2 bullet journals for a little more than 3 weeks now. I started for fun, just to have something ~somewhat~ worthwhile to do during the year and hopefully do a little organization in the process. Then due to necessity, I made a separate journal for work. And I haven’t looked back since. ?

Truth be told, I find the system as a whole more effective when used in the work environment. I mean, I have too little going on in my personal life at the moment to require any hardcore planning. But I must say that lists are dead useful, especially for a scatterbrained person like me.

Savings Tracker

By on

Expenses are a necessary evil. I mean, who really wants to go around throwing money away, right? But bills have to be paid, food must be bought.. you know the drill. I will be the first to admit that I suck at money management so half the time I have no clear idea where my salary went and end up short. And so when there are unexpected expenses, I barely manage to get by.

So this coming year, I want to be on top of my finances. It’s gonna take serious effort and some creative planning, but with the envelop budgeting system firmly in place and careful logging on my BuJo, I should be able to actually do it. To supplement the envelop system, I borrowed Kara of Boho Berry‘s Savings Goals Tracker from here. Once again, I made the table on the computer, meticulously measured and scaled to fit my BuJo as another Dutch door attachment. ?

That ever happen to you as well? It’s annoying, really. And frankly, quite disturbing too.

Monthly Planner FREE Downloadables

So I am sort of on a planner roll right now, what with the excitement of doing bullet journaling for the first time. Truth is, this early, I’ve already put in several collections in it. For my kid, our finances, books and movies, and of course, this blog. 🙂

In my last entry, I posted a free habit tracker, mostly because I was tinkering around on the computer while still on planner high. And because I couldn’t well enough leave it alone, here I am again with another free downloadable. 😉
