A Song of Ice and Fire

So I just finished the fifth book; stayed up all night just because I got that hooked. My favorite characters are (finally!) in the spotlight: Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark and Jon Snow. And okay, to some extent even Tyrion Lannister, that wretched Imp. And to what end? Only to find out the misfortune that befell my beloved Jon Snow. 🙁 I swear, it really really hurt reading that part. Him being betrayed like that and not knowing what happens to him after. I had to reread that part several times (masochistic as that sounds) because I simply could not would not believe that he is dying or dead.

And to rub salt to the wound, the next book is bound for release next year, and that is still tentative. So I have no way of knowing if Jon Snow lives or dies. Or if he dies, if he stays dead or becomes a wight or some manner of sentient wight like Coldhands. Arrgggghhh! So many questions and what-if’s. No way to appease my undying curiosity. Damn.

  1. Dude. Word of Author says Jon Snow isn’t dead. Seriously, reread prologue, then reread what happened when snow “died”. Then read it again, looking for the blatant fucking hints of which prophecies….
    crap, I’ve said too much.

    1. I was too distraught about what happened to him that I almost could not process that he might not die and that something big is in the works because of that. But thanks to you, I got to read quite a bit more of “spoilers” about Jon Snow and his mysterious heritage. 😛

  2. george rr martin will never kill off jon snow. not after what happened to robb. i wonder when he’ll actually reveal the real story of his supposed “heritage”. because right now, all that the fans have are theories. but yeah, the agonizing wait for the next book is just too much. hopefully he’ll live long enough to finish the series off.

    1. I am certainly praying he lives long and finishes the series! 😀 Yeah, there are a lot of theories surrounding Jon Snow lineage, most popular is that he’s actually the love child of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Which is actually not a bad theory. Although I have the feeling he’s actually the real Azor Ahai and not Stannis Baratheon.
